Local Web Developer Launches Waterfront Plan Forum
In the interest of starting an open discussion on the city‘s controversial waterfront development project, a Thunder Bay resident has launched a website featuring chat forums, polls, and an area to post photos and links to videos.
Money raised will also be used for the group‘s miscellaneous expenses like advertising and printing costs.
While Smith would not say how much FOMP has raised to date, he did say the campaign will likely be lengthy since the OMB hearings could go into the spring.
However, he is optimistic the group will accomplish its goals. “People are really worked up (about the waterfront development project) and they want a say in this because its so divisive and so important to the community,” he said. “They want their voice to be heard on this.”
